Review Submitted: January 27, 2012 Date of Stay: January 2012 We spent 7 nights in this warm and cosy 2 bedroom lodge. Just off the main road to Gullfoss waterfall it's situated in a quiet valley. A beautiful sucluded spot with lovely scenery but just 6km away from the nearest town with a shop and petrol station. Any problems the owner is only a phone call away.

A great location to take in the geysir and gullfoss at your lesuire or go a little further to see the pingvellir national park or the south coast. The area around the lodge offers some great views and walks. A lovely backdrop for trying to capture the northern lights on camera.

We had snow while we stayed and had great fun with the sledge at the lodge on the hill just behind. We were never cold as it has underfloor heating and there is also a playstation 2 to keep the kids entertained. All the fixtures and fittings seem to be relatively new. There is enough parking for 2 cars.
